Information We Collect

The information VerifiYou collects depends on how you use the platform.

We may collect:

Information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, account information, feedback, messages, and other information submitted through forms on the website.

Account and membership information, including your membership level, account status, registration information, membership transactions, and information necessary to provide and manage your VerifiYou account.

Verification requests and submitted content, including claims, questions, text, screenshots, images, and other material you voluntarily submit for investigation or analysis.

Investigation and report information, including generated reports, Report IDs, sources, confidence information, limitations, investigation records, report ownership information, and other information associated with a verification.

Technical information, which may include browser type, device information, IP address, operating system, referring pages, and other technical information used for security, troubleshooting, performance, and website operation.

Website usage information, including interactions with pages and features that may help us understand how VerifiYou is used and how the platform can be improved.

How We Use Information

Information collected through VerifiYou may be used to:

• Process verification and research requests
• Generate and store verification reports
• Retrieve and evaluate evidence and sources
• Operate member accounts and membership features
• Maintain report ownership and Report ID records
• Provide report libraries and other account features
• Process upgrades, cancellations, and membership changes
• Respond to inquiries, support requests, and feedback
• Improve VerifiYou’s accuracy, reliability, usability, and performance
• Develop and evaluate new platform capabilities
• Detect abuse, fraud, security threats, and technical problems
• Maintain records necessary to operate and protect the platform
• Analyze website usage and improve the user experience

VerifiYou does not provide different evidence standards or verification conclusions based on a user’s membership level. Membership levels provide different usage limits, storage, tools, and platform capabilities—not different standards of truth.

Verification Content and AI Processing

VerifiYou uses artificial intelligence and other automated technologies as part of its verification and research process.

When you submit content for verification, information necessary to perform the investigation may be processed by third-party technology and AI service providers used by VerifiYou.

Submitted content may include text, questions, claims, screenshots, images, and other information you choose to provide.

Users should avoid submitting passwords, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, confidential business information, medical records, or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the intended verification and appropriate to share.

AI-generated analysis may contain errors or limitations. VerifiYou is designed to provide supporting evidence, sources, context, confidence information, and limitations so users can evaluate the information for themselves.

Verification Reports and Sources

VerifiYou may store verification requests, generated reports, associated sources, Report IDs, confidence information, limitations, and other information necessary to maintain the investigation record.

VerifiYou is designed to provide users with access to the evidence and sources supporting a verification whenever those sources are available.

Sources may be provided through links to third-party websites or services. VerifiYou does not control the privacy practices, availability, accuracy, or content of third-party websites.

Publicly Shared Reports

VerifiYou allows certain verification reports to be shared through public report links.

When a user chooses to share a report publicly, that report may be accessible to anyone who has or discovers the public report URL. A person viewing a public report may not be required to have a VerifiYou account.

Public reports may also generate link previews or other metadata when shared through social media platforms, messaging services, search services, or other websites.

Private account information, Claim Codes, internal investigation identifiers, and other information designated by VerifiYou as private are not intended to appear in public reports.

Users should review the information contained in a report before choosing to share it publicly.

Anonymous Verifications and Claim Codes

VerifiYou may allow verification requests to be performed without creating an account.

Anonymous investigations may receive a public Report ID and a separate private Claim Code that can later be used to associate the investigation with an eligible VerifiYou account.

Users should protect their Claim Code. Claim Codes are intended to establish control of an unclaimed investigation and should not be publicly shared.

Accounts and Memberships

Users who create a VerifiYou account may have information associated with their account, including membership level, stored reports, report ownership, usage information, and account preferences.

Different membership levels may provide different usage limits, storage capabilities, workspace features, or other tools.

Account and membership information may be retained as necessary to operate the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or financial obligations.

Payments and Billing

Paid VerifiYou memberships are processed using third-party payment and membership services.

Payment transactions may be processed through Stripe and related membership-management systems used by VerifiYou.

VerifiYou does not intend to directly store complete payment-card numbers. Payment information submitted through a payment processor is handled according to that provider’s privacy and security practices.

VerifiYou may retain transaction information such as membership level, payment status, transaction or order identifiers, billing period, and other records necessary to administer memberships and maintain business records.

Feedback and Testimonials

Information submitted through VerifiYou’s Community Feedback system may be used to improve the platform, investigate problems, evaluate requested features, and understand user experiences.

When submitting feedback, users may be given choices regarding whether their comments may be published as testimonials.

VerifiYou will use submitted feedback for public testimonial purposes only in accordance with the permission selected by the person submitting the feedback.

Feedback designated for internal review will not intentionally be published as a testimonial.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

VerifiYou may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, maintain login sessions, remember preferences, support security features, analyze performance, and improve functionality.

Third-party services integrated with VerifiYou may also use cookies or similar technologies according to their own policies.

Users may control certain cookies through their browser settings. Disabling cookies may prevent some VerifiYou features from functioning correctly.

Third-Party Services

VerifiYou relies on third-party services to provide portions of the platform’s infrastructure and functionality.

• Evidence and information retrieval
• Payment processing
• Membership management
• Email delivery

• Embedded content and external links

Information necessary to provide these services may be transmitted to or processed by those providers.

Third-party providers operate under their own terms, privacy policies, and security practices.

Data Retention

VerifiYou retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide its services, maintain investigation and transaction records, protect the platform, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal obligations.

Stored reports associated with a cancelled membership may be retained for up to one calendar year following cancellation or expiration of membership access, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping purposes.

Some records may be retained in backups or administrative records for a limited additional period before being permanently removed through normal system processes.

Public reports that have been shared may remain accessible until removed or otherwise made unavailable by VerifiYou. Copies or references previously shared through third-party services may remain outside VerifiYou’s control.

Data Security

VerifiYou takes reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect user information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, loss, or misuse.

These measures may include access controls, secure communications, account authentication, restricted administrative access, backups, monitoring, and other security practices.

However, no website, online service, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, Claim Codes, and other account credentials.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on applicable law and the nature of the information involved, you may request:

• Access to personal information VerifiYou maintains about you
• Correction of inaccurate personal information
• Deletion of eligible personal information
• Information regarding how your personal information is used
• Assistance with account or privacy-related concerns

Certain information may need to be retained when necessary for legal compliance, transaction records, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, protection of VerifiYou or its users, or other legitimate operational purposes.

Requests may be submitted through VerifiYou’s contact or feedback channels.

VerifiYou may need to verify the identity of the person making a request before providing, modifying, or deleting account-related information.

Children’s Privacy

VerifiYou is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

If we learn that personal information from a child has been collected in circumstances requiring parental consent and appropriate consent was not obtained, we may take reasonable steps to remove that information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

VerifiYou may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, its features, service providers, or legal obligations change.
