Frequently Asked Questions

What is VerifiYou?

 FAQ:

VerifiYou is an AI-assisted verification and research platform designed to help users investigate claims, questions, headlines, quotes, events, organizations, businesses, historical subjects, screenshots, and other information using evidence-based analysis.

Rather than asking users to blindly trust a single source, VerifiYou searches for and compares relevant evidence, identifies areas of agreement or disagreement, and provides transparent reasoning behind its findings.

The goal is not to tell users what to believe, but to provide structured evidence, context, sources, and limitations that support better-informed decisions.

How does VerifiYou verify information?

VerifiYou analyzes a submitted claim, question, or research request by searching for relevant evidence across credible publicly available sources, including news organizations, government agencies, academic publications, public records, institutional sources, and expert research.

The platform compares multiple sources, evaluates source credibility, identifies supporting and conflicting evidence, and summarizes its findings in a structured verification report.

Each result includes source transparency so users can inspect the evidence directly rather than simply accepting VerifiYou’s conclusion.

How are confidence scores determined?

Confidence scores are based on several factors, including source reliability, source agreement, recency of information, and the overall strength of supporting evidence.

High confidence scores generally indicate strong agreement among highly credible sources.

Lower confidence scores may reflect conflicting evidence, limited sourcing, outdated information, or unresolved uncertainty.

Confidence scores are designed to communicate evidence strength—not certainty.

Why do sources sometimes disagree?

Sources may disagree for many reasons, including differences in publication timing, methodology, incomplete evidence, interpretation of data, or emerging developments.

In fast-changing situations, new evidence may cause conclusions to evolve over time.

VerifiYou highlights conflicting information whenever credible disagreement exists so users can better understand why conclusions may differ.

Can VerifiYou be wrong?

Yes. No verification system—human or AI—can guarantee perfect accuracy.

VerifiYou may occasionally produce incomplete, outdated, or imperfect analysis due to limitations in source availability, AI reasoning, or rapidly changing information.

Users should treat VerifiYou as a decision-support tool and review cited sources whenever accuracy is especially important.

Does VerifiYou use artificial intelligence?

Yes. Artificial intelligence assists VerifiYou with evidence discovery, comparison, analysis, and report generation.
AI is a research tool within the VerifiYou process—not a substitute for evidence. VerifiYou provides supporting sources, conflicting evidence when identified, confidence information, context, and limitations so users can evaluate the findings for themselves.
AI-generated analysis can contain errors or become outdated as new information becomes available. Users are encouraged to inspect the supporting sources, particularly when a decision is important or time-sensitive.

What sources does VerifiYou use?

VerifiYou prioritizes credible, evidence-based sources whenever possible.

These may include established journalism outlets, government publications, peer-reviewed research, public records, institutional reports, and expert analysis.

Source quality matters more than source popularity. VerifiYou favors transparency, accountability, and evidence strength when selecting sources.

Is VerifiYou a substitute for professional advice?

Does paying for VerifiYou change verification results?

No. Free, Pro, and Professional members use the same evidence-based verification methodology.

Paid memberships provide increased usage limits, storage, research tools, workspace capabilities, and other advanced features. Membership does not purchase a different standard of evidence or a more favorable conclusion.

Membership provides more capability—not better truth.

Can I share a VerifiYou report with someone who does not have an account?

Yes. VerifiYou reports can be intentionally shared using a public report link.
A person receiving a public report link does not need a VerifiYou account to read the shared report.
Public reports are designed to show the verification findings and supporting evidence without exposing private account information, Claim Codes, or VerifiYou’s internal investigation identifiers.

VerifiYou is an informational tool and does not replace professional legal, medical, financial, scientific, or other specialized advice.

Users should consult qualified professionals before making decisions involving health, law, finance, safety, or other high-stakes matters.

Is information submitted to VerifiYou stored?

VerifiYou is designed to respect user privacy while retaining information necessary to provide verification, account, report, and platform services.
Submitted claims, questions, screenshots, images, generated reports, sources, Report IDs, and related investigation information may be processed and stored as part of the VerifiYou service.
Information necessary to perform an investigation may also be processed by AI and other technology providers used to operate VerifiYou.
Users should avoid submitting passwords, financial account numbers, confidential information, or other sensitive personal information unless it is necessary and appropriate for the intended verification.
